Wow I read about my favorite singer!By All That JazzAfter seeing Ray; Goodman; and Brown in concert; Kevin OWENS said he wrote a book about his relationship with Luther Vandros. I couldnt wait to get it. Kevin OWENS has produced a great story about himself and his relationship with the amazing Luther Vandros. I loved reading every bit of it and realize how well loved Luther was in his inner circle as well as his millions of loyal fans. He was such a wonderful soul and his voice was ever more wonderful! What a loss for the world.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. So Amazing....By Ronny2015The book comes as a breath of fresh air to all the hard-core Luther Vandross fans out there because it is hard to come by any material documentary; concert or written material on our beloved legendary performer. The book chronicles the tours of Luther which we all loved so much. it also goes beyond the tours and even explains some of the studio sessions behind the Luther albums which took us through various situations. In addition the book talks about the illness of Luther. As much as it was a painful period for all fans new and old it comes as a form of closure to finally get to hear what went on behind the hospitals and all. It is also healing in that the book shows that Luther did not go through his final struggle alone. However; the book could have included more flesh on the Luther concerts for instance the playlists for each tour as well as the reaction of the fans especially women.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Kevin Owens gives good insight into the music industry.By Maria B.Good insight into the industry; Luthers entourage; and related artists. I ended up googling a lot of people mentioned in the book to see what theyre doing now; and who else they have worked with. It was a good education if you love Luther; Lisa Fischer; Ava Cherry; and of course Kevin. It is not a trashy tell-all; and you can tell how much Kevin respected Luther and other artists. Would have given it a five; however there were a ton of grammatical errors. Made me think it was poorly edited. Easy reading on the Kindle. I dont know why the hard copy is so incredibly expensive.
