This is an exploration of the potent blend of Arthurian legend; cartoon animation; and cultural and artistic trends from 1933 to the present. In more than 170 theatrical and televised short cartoons; televised series and specials; and feature-length films from The Sword in the Stone to Shrek the Thirdmdash;all covered in this bookmdash;animators have repeatedly brought the Round Table to life. Although these productions differ greatly in tone and intentmdash;spanning spectra from comic to sober; fantastic to realistic; and entertaining to edifyingmdash;they share in the proof of Camelotrsquo;s continuing relevance in the modern world.

A good tryBy GinnyFor some reason the resolution (clarity?) of these photos is not as good as one would have hoped. Also; the cover is in sepia tones which would be typical of the photos but the inside photos are B W which jars. It is good to see all the photos but a much better book in NEW ENGLAND VIEWS -- photos by Baldwin Coolidge; published some years ago by the Woods Hole Historical Museum.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
