(And insightful.)By Erie readerThe title provoked me to buy this book from the bargain bin. Kaplan is a cartoonist for The New Yorker and this book uses his clever cartoons and some text to tell Edmund and Rosemarys story. Looking at all the disappointments and day-to-day irritants in their lives; they finally realize that they must be in hell--literally. Surprisingly; they get official confirmation of this. That changes their lives; since they now have power and knowlege--or does it? Eventually they realize that life (or hell) is what you make of it. The writing is understated; but full of surprises; combined with the cartoons. Charming; clever; and fun. Even encouraging. And a great gift for someone whos discouraged. Itll make you smile.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Cute and fun to readBy NFI liked it. Fun; light; and easy. Recommended to all.
