Climate Responsive Design provides a unique source for students and practising architects requiring guidance on climatic design. Covering theory and application it provides examples of innovative and best practice in responsive architecture through case studies. The book also covers the broader topic of technology as a generator in design which will be of interest to all those involved in design and building. The book focuses on tropical climate but some of the theory can be applied to other climates; the difference in application is clearly delineated.

I am quite impressed with her work and this publication has excellent reproductions. A quality image is vital in art and photography books. Hats off to the publisher for great quality control and reproduction methods. Gratitude and best wishes to Camille Seaman for her passionate pursuit of images and accompanying short descriptions that take me away to the shores and waters of Antarctica.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A wonderful and important bookBy Edward LarsenI ordered this book about a year ago but only got around to reading it recently. My mistake ndash; I should have read it much sooner. I purchased it mainly because of the photography. However; the text is just as moving and important as the photographs. If you browse through the photos and ignore the text; youll miss the point. After reading through the book; youll view many of the photographs quite differently. A wonderful; wonderful book; with a hugely important message.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. very beautiful; evocative photos of the cold placesBy Greg M.the accompanying; mostly autobiographical; text gives insight into the photographer/author. i read this on my ipad (via ) and appreciate the high resolution (of most of the photos) that allowed me to expand the photos to fill my screen.
