Two things keep me from giving it 5 stars. The author spends a lot of time discussing metal genres. I dont care if something is black; death; thrash... Etc. its all metal to me. I didnt need 20 pages on that. Secondly.. The author spends a significant portion of the book criticizing every piece of work the band has produced since Justice. While I dont disagree in some respects... I didnt need 40 pages devoted to that. Overall; a good read.0 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Buy this book if you want to know more about Metallica.By ADAM FREEVery informative and highly detailed. Right balance between fact and authors opinion. Authors opinions well backed up. Enjoyed the heavy focus upon using interview transcripts. Great book about a truly great band!
