What is the fundamental nature of the filmic object: is it a commodity or is it; can it be; art? What would that mean - can it still matter? This book introduces the thought of Theodor Adorno into film studies to repair the schism that characterizes the field; as historical and cultural modes of analysis displace theoretical and philosophical ones.

First time looking through it; there are a wide variety of genres; which is what I was after. At ~$0.12/song; its a good investment for people wanting to fill out their tab library. My only complaint is that whoever packed it left dirty black smudges (finger prints?) on the cover. It cleaned off easily so Im still going with 5 stars; but in the future; clean hands please! ;o)0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I love this book. I wish Id have bought it in the paper version though.By Kevin M GonyoI love this book. I wish Id have bought it in the paper version. I am definitely a kindle person; but for this kind of material ... at least for me; I should have gotten the actual (paper) book.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great selectionBy J. AlvesLots of songs; lots of stuff from bands I wouldnt want to spend money buying a while book of theirs -- the "one hit wonders". A good purchase. Only thing that is somewhat of a problem is that; having so many songs; the book is thick; even using the very thin phone book type paper; and therefore can not be put in my music stand. I also have the 3 volumes of the guitar collection; and they are also fun books.
