Picture Their Faces ...By Blue Monster 65This scant book (131 pages) is actually quite good at filling in little details that other biographers might miss; should anyone else attempt to write the definitive story of Teenage Head. The author writes as a fan; which may not please some readers; but also manages to get interviews with surviving band members and also the cast and crew who helped make Teenage Head what they were/are: a fondly remembered; highly regarded early "punk" band (ask 100 different people what punk is/was and youll get 100 different answers ... and most would be wrong ... at least according to the others ...). Anyway you stack it; though; they were a careening mess of a good time; fueled up for fun and always a good night.Highly influential in many circles; The Head never really got their due; at least according to this book and most of their fans. I would argue that they went farther than they probably should have; given all the cards that were stacked against them. Still; in a perfect world; Teenage Head would be revered by all; their mansions walls adorned with gold and platinum records; and their frequent stadium tours sold out as each is announced. Sadly; thats not the way things are. Instead; we have their records; a whole bunch of You Tube videos (of varying quality) and this book to help keep their legend alive. And maybe - just maybe - thats the way it should be.Get this; read it; and smile as you relive your fondest memories of the boys in the band. I did.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Chance to reminisce; Learned a little too.By Bradford AnthonyI have been a head fan since about 1980. I have seen them at several venues in Ontario. Even seen Frankie Venom and the Vipers. When I have had a chance to talk to the guys (CFNY picnic and elsewhere) they were real nice. I learned a few things about the band reading this. Reading this brings me back to my youth and that is never bad.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Four StarsBy Careful WhispererA fun short read; but probably best suited for fans of the band.
