As with their other publications; this text is very well organized and clearly written. The video examples that are on the companion website and DVD are also excellent. I love the QR links so you can scan them with your iPads camera and it takes your right to the video demo on YouTube. This would be a great text for a college or professional development course or for anyone interested in using their iPad for musical purposes. Disappointing - Simply a Survey of AppsBy Dan SmithGiven that the title includes the words; "Quick Pro Guide"; I expected a lot more in the way of instruction on how to actually create; learn; and perform music using an iPad; in contrast to what this book does; which simply provides an overview of the main apps in each category. While a number of videos are included; again; they simply provide a very basic overview of how the app under discussion functions. You can get the same level of instruction by using each apps help function. Very disappointing...
