It is informative and has a bunch of examples that drive the points home. Yes; this information MIGHT seem like a no brainer but until you actually put his words into action; they are just that... words.Scott and his staff are amazing and they know what they are talking about. His classes/workshops are reasonably priced compared to other high commodity acting schools in Los Angeles. I recommend taking his intensives to see what I am talking about and get a crash course on the eight characters with a class full of other funny people. You wont regret it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Really really amazing book; both as a writer and as an ...By CustomerRead this book before taking the comedy intensive. Really really amazing book; both as a writer and as an actor. Not only does it cover the psychology of the 8 characters; but how they were created; how they differ from the other characters; and how they can successfully evolve and merge to make a funny; memorable and 3 dimensional character. The book provides specific examples; backgrounds; and actors currently playing them on multi cam and single cam shows as well as common mistakes to avoid when playing "The dumb one" or "the Neurotic." I will definitely keep referencing this book and cant recommend it enough.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. look no furtherBy BohemeThis book has revolutionized the way a lot of writers and actors and even comedy fanatics now approach and think about comedy. This will break down everything you need to know about sitcom and have you writing/acting/watching in a whole new way.
