Prepared for the 2013 National Climate Assessment and a landmark study in terms of its breadth and depth of coverage; Climate Change and the Pacific Islands was developed by the Pacific Islands Regional Climate Assessment; a collaborative effort engaging federal; state; and local government agencies; non-government organizations; academician; businesses; and community groups to inform and prioritize their activities in the face of a changing climate. The book assesses the state of knowledge about climate change indicators; impacts; and adaptive capacity of the Hawaiian archipelago and the US-Affiliated Pacific Islands. The book provides the basis for understanding the key observations and impacts from climate change in the region; including the rise in surface air and sea-surface temperatures; along with sea levels; and the changes in ocean chemistry; rainfall amount and distribution; weather extremes; and widespread ecosystem changes. Rich in science and case studies; it examines the latest climate change impacts; scenarios; vulnerabilities; and adaptive capacity and offers decision makers and stakeholders a substantial basis from which to make informed choices that will affect the well-being of the regionrsquo;s inhabitants in the decades to come.

It wasnt that someone was ugly or less than perfect; it was that a dress or outfit just didnt work. Whether it was proportion; color; or cut; he always applied constructive criticism. You only had to listen to a few of his critiques to realize he really knows his stuff. He has a great eye. And when someone hit it out of the park fashionwise; he was the first one to praise them.I bought this book because I trusted him and I wasnt disappointed. I am also; along with George; disappointed by the lack of glamour in the celebrity world; because when things get tough -- especially economically -- I think we all want to dream a little. And doesnt everyone want to try and do a little something to make the world a better place? Fashion is not trivial. This book really delivered. I especially enjoyed the way George broke down fashion by decades and said that it had simply been recycled from the 1920s to the 1990s. Brilliant! I also loved the way he examined makeup and hair by decades. I realized where many of my favorite looks had originated. This is a book to inspire you. This is a book to delight you. If you adore the iconic actresses from Hollywoods past; this is the book for you. So many fashion and beauty tips; none of them run of the mill; all of them glorious.Great work; Mr. Kotsiopoulos! Thanks for creating this dream book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. For fashion police and Georges fansBy LoveLadyThis is a fun read and carries lots of good common sense advice. If you are already a stylish person most of info must be well familiar to you but I do enjoy Georges writing style and philosophy. Even though even he cannot make me give up my yoga pants which allow me to go from the gym onto errands with only a shirt change - I still find it more stylish than "jeans and white tennis shoes" look. Well; one does not have to agree with George and FPolice crew on everything to enjoy this book0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
