Nikon D7100 Digital Field GuideBy unclemikeyAlthough this book is very helpful in understanding some of the features for the D7100 it left me feeling incomplete. As an instruction manual it leaves some information as to how to apply the features in question. Every time I go back to the book it doesnt really answer my questions as to why am I doing this. I gave it four stars because at least Mr. Thomas does touch each and every feature however; I am used to the way Darrel Young explains features and gives the reader the how; why and why not to. I would not stop a reader from acquiring this work since it was helpful to me but not as much as I thought it would be. I have several other guide books from Wiley Press which were very helpful and all are well written including this one by Mr. Thomas. If the reader can wait for the release of Darrel Youngs book in September which I have pre ordered I would suggest that as an alternative.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. This manual makes me love the D7100 even moreBy Cloud.9 CustomerThis is a great manual--its more comprehensive and easier to understand than the manual that is included with the camera. The print is easy to read; good photographs and diagrams; good table of contents and thorough index. I took the manual to an office supply store to have it spiral bound so that when open; it lays flat. The only quibble I have with this manual is that the margins are a bit too narrow on the left side of page so that the spiral binding has slightly penetrated a bit of the first letter on the left margin. None the less; the text is still very readable and will continue to spiral bind my manuals.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
