However; I found a couple of Burns theories to be incorrect according to the series. For instance; he says he believes that Bob is the "Dweller on the threshold" when in the series; as Hawk explains the legend of the Black Lodge to Coop; he clearly states that the "Dweller on the threshold" is the Shadow Person of the person inside the Black Lodge who is either trying to pass through to the White Lodge or trying to get back to our world. There was another inconsistency in one of his theories which I cant recall at the moment; but other than this it was an interesting; short (although I must confess I craved a bit more); concise read.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A must for the fansBy JaneI enjoyed this short (101 pages) book very much. I had read other Twin Peaks fan books and those are the ones you may want to turn to if you are interested in more factual info on the shows creation and execution. This book is more of a long essay that provides some info but mainly really great observations and perspectives on the show. If you have read other books; this one still provides worthwhile insight. If you have read none of the others; this wont spoil the other books as the author seems careful to keep the overlap with other books to a minimum. However; if you have not seen all of the series and Fire Walk with Me yet; this book has major spoilers. You may not think it is a big deal because Fire Walk with Me is a prequel; but there will be certain important elements spoiled. If you want to supplement the series viewing while watching; read the diary by Jessica Lynch instead. Then; get this book and enjoy!Reason for 4-star rating: the content was very enjoyable; but I do find the price I paid (nearly $10 prime) to be a tad steep for such a tiny book with some of the content provided by already existing articles and interviews. Still an excellent read.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A good read; but dont expect too muchBy Deja LeeI enjoyed this book; but I was a little disappointed that it pretty much rehashed everything I already knew. For a "must-have" TP book I was expecting something new for some reason.
