(Limelight). "This is a riotous story which is reasonably mad and as accurate as a Marx brother can make it. Despite only a year and a half of schooling; Harpo; or perhaps his collaborator; is the best writer of the Marx Brother. Highly recommended." Library Journal . "A funny; affectionate and unpretentious autobiography done with a sharply professional assist from Rowland Barber." New York Times Book Review

"Easy" in "C" means that Hal Leonard has transposed it to C; which is most common instruments (piano; flute; harmonica...) It does NOT include tabs or frets; you do need to read music; but you dont need to parse key signatures.Fake books are used for several things. Professionals use them to help them quickly "fake" knowing a song. A decent musician can sight-read them and sound convincing. Beginners (or less serious musicians) use them because you can enjoy playing a song you recognize without having to deal with key signatures and changing ones; odd timings and very complex bits. The cost is that some interesting parts may be simplified out and; if you play piano; youre only going to have your right hand busy; youll have to fake with the left. This book has a wide variety of great recognizable songs; though few current ones. Mostly old standards; few by way of rock. Its great to play to and to learn from; but if youre learning youll eventually want a more comprehensive book; once you can take on the trickier bits. That doesnt mean you dont need this; just that eventually it will help you outgrow it. Professionals should jump right to the Ultimate Fake Books; also on .0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. GREAT HELP FOR THOSE WHO CANT PLAY IN MULTIPLE KEYSBy MSBOBEThis is a great idea! I love these easy fake books! Wish they would do some more in Christian music. I am not an accomplished pianist but play for our small worship team. Not everyone can play in multiple keys; like the key of B-flat; F-sharp; which some music is written in but with this being written in the key of C for everything; our musicians can play what they couldnt play before. They are happy to do new songs now and we have expanded what we play because of these books. Who ever came up with this idea; thank you. Us small worship teams need more of these. The Christmas one was a hit too.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Music is fine but the binding is a problemBy C. StarkI have no problem with the music. There is a good cross section of tunes. The reason for taking away 1 star is the book itself. (I actually would take away 1.5 stars if I could. Its more than a 1 star flaw; but not quite 2 stars.)I dont know why music companies insist on binding music books like this. The book is designed to be opened on your stand. Why not make it spiral bound so it will actually LAY OPEN. Im sure its a cost issue. However; I would gladly pay another dollar for a spiral bound version over this. Using clips to hold it semi open is an unnecessary pain.
