There might have been more to the stories if there was less to the graphic design; or vice versa; as it was; both felt inadequate; instead of the two enriching each other. Pricey for a book with little profundity; easily read in half an hour.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Self portrait in words and colour.By rose hoodThis book is unique; clever and gently probes human frailty. It is easy to pick up but difficult to put down. Millman; with simple prose; pinpricks at the ordinary things we do; say and observe. Through this she both unnerves and settles us. Her subtle illustrations make the reading experience something more than understanding and more towards a quiet resolution that in our flaws and our moments we are equals in our quest to get through our days and our lives.3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Gorgeous book!By Lisette van de GraafId seen mention of this book on Lisa Congdons blog and was immediately curious about it. Luckily; a friend decided to give it to me; so I ordered it and now have it in my hands. What a gorgeous book! So glad I got it!
