Burn and Rosalind (Oberon Modern Plays)

audiobook Burn and Rosalind (Oberon Modern Plays) by Deborah Gearing in Arts-Photography

Description

A fable about tradition in a mad place; Trad is the hilarious tale of the very old Thomas and his even more ancient lsquo;darsquo;. When Thomas reveals that he once fathered a son in a long-ago fling; the pair set off across the Irish countryside to seek the unknown child; with nothing more than a hobble and a limp to help them. A surreal comedy from former comedian Mark Doherty; and a five-star hit at the 2005 Edinburgh Festival; Trad presents a deeply funny journey of discovery; fuelled by a past thatrsquo;s just as bizarre as the present. Trad opened at the Bush Theatre; London in April 2006.

I wish I could see this performed...By CapuletIn case you dont know; this play is written by the actor who plays Beric Dondarrion in the latter seasons of Game of Thrones and (my favorite of his roles) Sheriff Dan Anderssen in Fortitude. I am a bit obsessed and have been trying to get my hands on everything he has written or been in. This play has received rave reviews. It is difficult to read the text of a play and get a true sense of it. Plays are not meant to be read but performed. If you like stories about Irish gangsters in New York you will probably enjoy this.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy Brian F.excellent text. condition as described. I asked for a free sample of this play (a regular offer) and was given a bunch of initial pages with all kinds of rubbish but NOT A LINE form the play itself. I wanted some LITERATURE; not a theatre memoirs. I am a literary scholar and wished to buy this book and use it at work; but I am unable to check if this is the language I expect to work with. Truly irritating.
