This book investigates the characteristics of todays built environment: no longer simply a city but increasingly large conurbations made up of a number of development clusters; linked by transport routes. The diffusion of the once compact city into a city web; the meta city is mirrored by changes in society from communities with strong social cohesion and interest in their towns and cities to individuals pursing their own goals; with global social links and little interest in their city.

Id rather read these than watch DVDs.I am just starting it but its good so far.I also have the composition book and that was a good one too. These series are great.I highly recommend these books to anyone who wants to learn about photography or even refresh themselves with it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great reference for your photography library!By LonestarletThis book covers all the basic photography lighting scenarios you could possibly find yourself in. Explanations are succinct and detailed and wont leave you questioning. The assignments at the end of each chapter are well-worth doing just to make sure you understand all the issues discussed in the chapter just concluded.Great as a textbook; but one you will reach for when you need a refresher or reminder about a technique.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
