A great book for students to learn a little bit about our human bodyBy S JacksonI decided to order this free sample of body Opedia because I wanted to see if it would be appropriate for my students especially those students who are just learning English.I love the first picture where at names the head hair I hear mouth tong arm and leg but tell me stomach finger palm test Mac and nose. So far this seems pretty she rated for my first and second grade students. The picture of the scall is extremely interesting it has different colors on different parts of the skull however it does not label what those parts are I would hope the paper version of it would. The book then goes into the skeletal system and gives some random facts about the skeletal system. Then the book goes in to talking about her teeth and shows it very interesting close-up of the inside of a tooth with a cavity and then it goes into a picture of our eye. And it gives a very interesting fact that I blanks on an average of 17 times per minute. Then it goes into the heart again I wish that it had the labels to what the ventricles and arteries were in the heart I think this would help students a lot. Unfortunately the sable didnt talk anything about the heart however it does talk about the brain again gives a very colorful picture of the different parts of the brain without the labels. Then it goes into talking about your nose and abruptly goes into your digestive system and then theres a picture of your mouth your hair follicles. And then it talks about your skin. Its is a very interesting picture of blood and gives an interesting fact that blood makes up around 7% of the weight of the human body. Blood contains red blood cells white blood cells and platelets.I do think this book is appropriate for my students and I would purchase the paper version when and if we were learning about the body.╰☆╮ஐ DISCLOSURE I did get a free sample of this book. "Its over?"By ocean_swim_girlThis ebook got off to a good start. There was a representation of a body with all of the bodys parts labeled on the first page. The first section of the book; "Skeletal System;" had the word "skeletal" spelled wrong. The second "e" was an "a" instead. Stuff like this irks me because doesnt everyone have spell check? I dont want my children reading these ebooks and "learning" how to spell words incorrectly. Maybe thats petty; I dont know. Anyway; the book goes on to talk about the various body parts and gives some facts about each one. It gets a little confusing sometimes because you will see a picture of say; a tooth; but the next page speaks of a different body part all together. It may be because it is an ebook...but it got kind of confusing. The book continues to showcase different parts of the body and lay out different facts. My child and I got all up into it then; BOOM! Without any warning whatsoever; the book was just over. No conclusion; no closing thoughts; no ending; nothing! Just a white page! I found myself asking my nine-year-old: "Is this the end?" Poorly done in my opinion.I received this product at a free or reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The kid-friendly journey travels through the body and all its systems and is sprinkled throughout with plenty of health did you know! Young readers will learn about age-appropriate medical history and body basics; from cells and DNA to growth and aging!I would like to state I am faithful and frequently shopper on . I; like you; rely on consumers honest opinion of a product/products that I may have intentions of purchasing at that moment or in the future. Nor have I or would I ever except any form of monies in exchange for my assessment of an item; and or give a dishonest and false evaluation. No one in any way has or will coach me on what to or not to say about an item. I am not obligated to give a positive review.
