Find out what it takes to build an award-winning competition set; the branding; the budgets; the strategy and the performance. Meet the characters. Learn the lingo. Fall in love with show choirs.

The Blacklist Ignored Gender BoundariesBy james k.l. lawrenceBarrangers research provides useful material on female blacklisted actors during the Red Scare beginning in 1947 and lasting through the 1950s. The detail the author provides that can be verified permits ready acceptance of more recently discovered evidence she offers the reader. Suffering saw no gender boundaries. Barranger does not gloat; she simply informs with clarity and persuasiveness.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Excellent readBy Patricia B. SnyderUNFRIENDLY WITNESSES is an excellent read. You will marvel at he courage of the women and shocked at the outrageous manipulation of some of our Nations elected officials in the McCarthy Era. The book is very well documented and recommended for all but it is a must for all those in the theatre.
