She seems to know the right balance between challenging and showy. I often have to play last minute offertories at my church (and I mean finding out just a few minutes before the service) so this series is perfect for someone like me. There are six books according to the seasons and holidays. There are many good hymns that are arranged in such a way as to be playable without being boring. I am much indebted to Mrs. Berry for the great arrangements that I have been able to depend on in a pinch. I highly recommend this to church pianists that have to play a lot of piano solos!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Lovely arrangements!By missy0124I love this book from the "What Can I Play on Sunday?" series! I am an intermediate pianist and play once a month for church. Most of the books Ive found locally are either too easy or too difficult. I took a chance and ordered this one and am so very glad. It is just what it promises - lovely arrangements for the pianist with "limited rehearsal time." The arrangements are (for me) just challenging enough to be interesting and to require some practice; but not so challenging that I have to put them aside. I am actually eager to practice again and find myself sneaking in extra time whenever possible! I will definitely add the other books to my collection as I can; and heartily recommend them!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Review of "What Can I Play on Sunday?By Ann FranklinThis is another book by Cindy Berry. This particular book has many wonderful arrangements of hymns that can be played in the church. As a church pianist; I use all of Cindy Berrys piano arrangements because they are so "playable." This particular book of hymn arrangements is a great addition to others which I use every Sunday. If you dont have it; you really need to add it to your collection as well as other books by Cindy Berry. It is great!
