Unfortunately; this wasnt a hit with him. It has too many words and not enough pictures. The pictures should help tell the stories; but instead they were just a picture of a hammer or lightning bolt. My son loves to stare at the pictures when im reading; a hammer does not keep a 3 year olds attention. There are even a handful of pages where there are no pictures on either side of the page; but a lot of words. Thats when he said he was done.. This is probably geared for an older child; not toddler. In regards to the words; I do think for an older child it would be good; there is a lot of detail to the stories; they dont leave out much from the Bible. Another thing that I saw only after downloading is that its only 2 stories - creation and the flood. There is no indication that this is only two stories; its called a Bible for kids. The cover is a picture of David with his slingshot; but thats not even part of this book...I think thats quite misleading and hopefully the author will update those details soon. I did recieve this for free for my honest opinion. Unfortunately; it was not a good fit for us with a toddler; maybe he will be more interested in this when hes a little older. Right now Ill stick to kids Bibles with pictures.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Nice short book wish it were longerBy Bo BThis is a nice little book. the pictures are bright and grabs the attention of younger children and makes them want to see what you are reading to them. the stories are along with written in the Bible and doesnt change the wording so it is a good aid to go along with family time Bible study. my only complaint was that there were only 2 stories really needs to be a little longer but this is a good start. The wording is simple enough so that even my toddler could understand and the pictures he wants to sit and talk about. so that makes the story time go on a bit longer and I like that. This product was purchased for free or at a discount in exchange for my honest review. The price of the product had no influence on how the final review was written. This book suited the need for me to have my toddler listen during Bible study time and also gave an extra book to have for the bedtime story because it made the Bible a fun thing to learn and not just a bunch of words that are of no interest to a child. I often read the reviews of a product before I make a purchase so if like me you read this to make a decision I hope this review was able to help you in making a decision on your own purchase.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Greatt read!By dannar34What an amazing little read for the whole family! I have been looking for a good book with great illustrations to read to my little children about the bible and this was just what I was looking for. The illustrations in this book were amazing and my kids really enjoyed all the wonderful use of colors that were in them. The stories that they focused on were really great as well and I love how it works from the very beginning so that kids can get a better understanding of how we were all created! Great read; so glad that I gave this book a try! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good book! I did receive this product at a discounted rate to try out for the seller!
