ThomasMany years ago I traveled to NYC and attended several times Schechners Dionysius 69 theater rituals in NYC; once with a group of my students. He has had a long history of bringing together art and ritual; and I returned recently to that field as a resource and refer to Schechners work with the Performance Group when I do. So I looked to see what he had done in recent years; and am glad to see this book bringing together not just his history in that field but his outlook into the future.I think of him every time I listen to Stravinskys Rite of Spring; which is often. Schechter was and is a man ahead of his time. He has certainly left an impression on me.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
