This is just a reproduction of another speedy book; they dont call them speedy for nothingBy Happy FamilyThis book is like many other speedy books and this one is even a straight reproduction of another one of their books. That being said; I just loved this book it was fill with so many interesting facts it blew my mind. This was a really interesting book for our family; and especially for me. We read this book together; with my 10 year old doing the reading (which impresses me every time). I dont remember learning even the bits about the wonders of the world that were included in this book in my childhood. The illustrations were interesting; though in this book; the facts were more impacting. The book format really highlights the images and gives ample time for talking about the pictures. One spread has an image with a couple of sentences; then the next is simply an image. This repeats throughout the book and gives a great format for reading together. This book gives enough information to build a foundation; without being too in-depth or overwhelming. For us; it was random; for others; it would work well to start a unit about modern wonders. I also think this book would work well for a classroom; because there is a lot of opportunity for talking about the pictures; or even completing a written or drawing assignment. Personally; as a homeschooler; I love books like this one that give valuable information in a quick and easy to digest format.Overall: Neat information; as quick or slow as you make it. We enjoyed it; and I think that most young children would be interested in reading this with their grown-up.The Kindle version of this book was provided to me for free; with the expectation that I review it honestly.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Grab it for but dont pay for it...By ElizabethAs reviewer "rainbow_brights closet" pointed out in their review on March 17; 2016......"Its the EXACT SAME book as World Atlas For Kids - Kids From Around The World!!" Check out their review for more information. So I double checked and sure enough; its the same book but they just changed the title and cover. Below is my original review of the World Atlas for Kids. Grab either of these ebooks for free and you cant loose even if you dont like it.-------------This ebook is offered for free right now (as are many of the ebooks by Speedy Publishing.) Many of the books are hit or miss really so its great to download the free ones. Keep in mind they rotate offering different ones for free at different times. This ebook is great for free but I wouldve been disappointed if I bought it. It certainly could be laid out better and have more information in it but I absolutely love the vivd pictures in most of these books. You can click on "Look inside" on the main product page on and itll show you the first few pages of the book. Unfortunately; this particular ebook doesnt show the vivd pictures that are in the book. After these first few pages of "Fun Facts" there are somewhat random pictures of far away places. I wish each picture would have a caption at least telling where and what its a photo of.Also; the description of this book is off I think. I talks about "Kids from around the world" and how children like to hear about other children. Which I agree with; but the book doesnt talk about other children like I thought it would. I though maybe it would take about the way other kids dressed and what they ate and played. But this book doesnt do that. Instead it talks about different places and landmarks. Still very interesting but not what the description states. So overall; for free these ebooks are great. I think they are great "boredom busters" for the kids. They are short and easy to read with wonderful pictures.***** I received this ebook for free in exchange for my honest review. *****1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Another plagiarized book from Speedy PublishingBy Mary JuettAnother plagiarized book from Speedy Publishing. Basically the book is a collection of uncaptioned stock photos paired with randomly pulled; plagiarized text from various online sources. Its not put together well; there is no descriptions of the pictures; and the facts provided are out of context and arent really a wow factor for kids. This book leaves a lot to be desired; however the plagiarism is a big issue with this book.I do not recommend this book at all. Its unorganized and plagiarized from other sources.I received a digital copy of this book free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.
