The small format is great for children; but anyone who loves animals will treasure this book. Short but pithy text units are packed with information: river otter pups dont know how to swim and must be taught by mom; an African painted dog mom can give birth to up to nineteen pups; orangutan moms dont have a first baby until they are fifteen and then nurse the youngster for four years. A powerful conservation message underlies fun facts about everything from beluga whales to stick insects. Its hard to pick a favorite animal; but personally Id go with the puggle.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
