3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. a little disappointedBy LucasLots of great solos in here; but theres one major oversight: they arent ranked! The songs are only listed in alphabetical order.I imagine thats because its not the exact list Guitar World published; which is likely do to some rights issues. The two Smashing Pumpkins; Neil Young; and Rage Against the Machine songs that were on the list are not here; along with a few others. Theyve been replaced with other solos. Also; while the book claims to feature solos from "founding fathers" most of the songs are from 68 or later (with one song from 66 and another from 64) Johnny B. Goode was on the original list; but is not present. The original list had more variety; and I think this book would have benefited from that. They could have used whatever solos they left out to inject some more variety in there; but didnt. The transcriptions are okay; but are often overcomplicated (as is often the case with published guitar music)Its still a cool book though. A good addition to my library.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. FantasticBy CustomerGreat addition to music library0 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
