Er war nicht nur Maler sondern auch ein anerkannter Siegelschneider und Kalligraph. Da unser Seminar die Malerei in China im 20. Jahrhundert behandelte gehe ich vor allem auf seine Malerei und nur am Rande auf Wus Siegel; Gedichte und Kalligraphie ein.Es werden Bilder beschrieben; die wir in unserem Seminar im Wintersemester 2005/2006 behandelten. Diese sind auch im Anhang abgebildet.

Through the ambivalence of its characters; Kirkwood examines the compromises that Americans have made as China has grown in power and as a trading partner even as it continues to oppress its people and stifle dissent. This extremely compelling work needs to be seen; but reading it comes close. Inspiring and inspired. Beautiful.
