Jahrhunderts und war der von Ludwig I. von Bayern bevorzugte Landschaftsmaler. Seine Werke verteilten sich schon zu seinen Lebzeiten uuml;ber ganz Deutschland und wurden fuuml;r die folgende Landschaftsmalerei vorbildlich. Das Landschaftsbild gewinnt bei ihm an Bedeutung und wird mehr und mehr zum Historienbild.Sein Hauptwerk ist der Griechenlandzyklus; den er erst kurz vor seinem Tode vollendete.Dieser Zyklus trauml;gt sowohl naturalistische als auch romantische Elemente in sich. Er zeichnet sich einerseits durch eine groszlig;e Objektivitauml;t der Schilderung aus und erfasst die Landschaft in ihrer charakteristischen Form. Andererseits liegt in der Darstellung eine Betonung auf dem Ideellen. Goethe auml;uszlig;erte sich zu Rottmanns Zyklus folgendermaszlig;en: bdquo;Die Bilder haben houml;chste Wahrheit; aber keine Spur von Wirklichkeit...Und das ist eben die wahre Idealitauml;t; die sich realer Mittel so zu bedienen weiszlig;; dass das erscheinende Wahre eine Tauml;uschung hervorbringt als sei sie wirklich.ldquo; Rottmanns Zeitgenossen trugen noch den Traum von Hellas im Sinne Winkelmanns in ihrer Vorstellung. Bisherige Griechenlanddarstellungen zeigten oft eine arkadische Idylle. Auf seiner Reise durch das sagenumwobene Griechenland musste Rottmann jedoch feststellen; dass dieser Traum nur entfernt der Wirklichkeit entsprach. So schuf er bdquo;eine noch heute guuml;ltige Synthese des Traumes von Hellas und der Wirklichkeit der Halbinsel Griechenlandldquo; .Im Folgenden soll Rottmanns Hauptwerk; dessen wichtigste Merkmale und Entstehungsumstauml;nde betrachtet; sowie auf einige der insgesamt 23 Gemauml;lde nauml;her eingegangen werden.

Easy to Use; Accompaniment CD is helpful!By Mom of 2I love this simplicity of this book; because so many sought after songs are offered and the accompaniment CD is quite helpful. Like other reviewers; I agree the tempos on the CD are generally fast. I am not tech savvy enough to slow them down; but I understand it can be done. The cuts are a great length for auditions; or very easy to further edit for an audition or recital. I will be buying the other book in this series as well. I have already used it in my teaching studio with several students; and even my son; who just turned 8 years old; used "Ive Got No Strings" for an audition recently. Only a couple songs work for older teens/young adults; most are for kids. As for shipping; it arrived right away and in perfect condition.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. The CD that comes with this book is very well done and easy to sing along with. This book has a good song selection and provides many options for the singer. It seems geared more toward a female student rather than a male student which most vocal books for kids seem to be. This is not a problem for me; because most of my students are girls. I love this book and use it almost every lesson with my younger students. Excellent bookBy amarillaIm a music teacher and I use this book all the time! The arrangements of the music are great and not cheesy. My students love the music that I pick for them in it and Ive used it for festivals as well. The CD is also a great reference tool. The content has a wide variety of contrasting selections that are great for ages 6-12. I use this book for my elementary school kids and they have performed some selections from here in my recitals and in the festivals.
