Review
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Br illiant book!By Leon RubinThis is an excellent book; full of detailed insights into a fascinating world of theatre. The book also deals with interesting explanations about the Balinese world view. It integrates ideas about philosophy; art and religion with a unique study of major performance styles in Bali. It is like a journey into the mind of a Balinese actor or dancer. It is great reading for actors; directors; dancers and teachers of theatre and also has ideas and techniques that can enliven Western approaches to performance. Highly recommended! I should know as I was one of the two people who wrote it...Balinese Performance (Theatres of the World)
