Ive just started practicing from this book and I must say that it isnt for the beginning guitarist. The author; David Patterson; gives excellent introductions and practice tips for each study.Gary0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. a good scale bookBy candidoramonAbsolultey not for beginners; the pattern created can be moved to higher or lower position thus creating a new scale. I would appreciate it very much if the 2nd edition or revise edition; the author creates a cadence or chord voicing after each scale pattern.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Czerny 12 Scale studyBy tomHavent quiet figured this one out. As a guitarist; late in learning the value of scales; I have been using violin scales. This book does not seem to offer much more and even less than violin scales.
