If you are a hard core Stones fan you will probably really like this bookBy CustomerIt was a toss up whether to give 3 stars or 4 stars for Aint It Time We Said Goodbye; so I opted for the 4 stars. The book was informative; but just didnt "grab" me. If you are a hard core Stones fan you will probably really like this book; but for a middling fan the author seemed a bit like every other run of the mill author telling about the Rolling Stones. Keith and Mick are the be all; end all and the others are not too much worth mentioning. He did say a bit about Bobby Keys; the saxophone player; but much of it seemed to be in a critical vein and he wasnt a Stone.I would recommend this book to hard core Rolling Stone fans.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great Stones Tour Review 1971By Tracey D.Loved this review of a little known and short (albeit extremely well played) English tour by the Stones. It took you through the entire tour; venue by venue and show by show; with side stories that were reflective and previously unheard. I kind of wish Id bought the book; but reading it on the Kindle was very cool...and even though I was very familiar with the subject matter (the Stones playing at the top of their game) I had a hard time putting it down. If you can locate any of the recordings from this tour theyre well worth the listen. A rare gem of a book.Dave DePartee0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Like a good desertBy Gregg Taylor Banter author of Wolves and WildflowersI couldnt be happier that this book or anything from this very special time in history has come to be available . There is so much in every detail that youll want to want to slow down and read it like a good desert. With the Beatles now gone ;all the pressure was on the Stones . This is the dramatic story of how they came through a most difficult time . The importance of this book is more apparent now than ever.
