Acts of God and Failures of Man.By seaphiloThis book is an excellent resource for those who are interested in first response and the sadder side of history. With the vast collection of rare photographs and written description the book can be a bit graphic at times. To see the animals that were burned in the circus fire is absolutely pathetic and the description of a little boy being burned to death when a plane crashed into his home is truly horrific. If there was one improvement that could be made to this book in any future editions it would be to tone down some of the borderline sensationalist descriptions of the victims deaths; especially where children are concerned.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
