Gathering his most compelling essays and addresses from the last fifty years in one accessible volume; this book looks at the pioneering ideas that underpin Sim Van der Rynrsquo;s ecological design philosophy. It offers a unique decade-by-decade retrospective of the key issues in environmental design; beginning with the most recent years and looking back to the 1960s. With an introductory chapter and further recommended reading for each decade; this book is key reading for any architect or designer practising today; and students will find a wealth of knowledge with which to support their studies. The authorrsquo;s beautiful illustrations; painted in a corresponding timescale to the chapters; offer further insight into the way he understands the challenges of humanityrsquo;s stewardship of our planet.

JudellWhile not a great play; "Multitudes" is a good play; and an important one; that my Muslim students embraced. They were so happy to finally read about themselves. This was also a positive way to explore Islam; prejudice against Muslims; and such terms as halal and hijab; etc.; that my non-Muslim students were unfamiliar with. It would be wonderful if there was a way to watch a production of Multitudes; but without such a possibility; it would be helpful if the text supplied more background and set up the scenes and characters as Eugene ONeill did possibly too well. Please be forewarned: this drama is very much about British politics and life in Bradford; where over 20% of the population is Muslim. It also has a terrorist subplot. I had be hoping to find a play that was more a Muslim take on "Modern Family" or like the Israeli TV hit series; "Arab Labor." Im still searching. The ending here is quite powerful.
