Of the two; D of M is a maturer work. The White Devil has a more jumbled structure; although it has several powerful scenes; including the "Arraignment of Vittoria;" Act III; sc. 2:Mont. My lord duke sent to you a thousand ducatsThe twelfth of August.Vit. _ _ _ _ _ Twas to keep your cousinFrom prison; I paid use for t.Mont. __ __ __ __ I rather think;Twas interest for his lust.Vit. Buy another editionBy Wild GravityApologies for attributing less stars than the work itself deserves; as Webster; I think; is excellent. This review deals only with the quality of this edition. As an earlier reviewer noted; it is almost entirely useless for academic readers; and arguably useless for casual readers. And that is first assuming the superscript-sized font that takes up as much space as absolutely possible on each page is actually readable without a magnifying glass. This edition contains no table of contents; copyright; title page; and has no editor. In addition; there are no line numbers; notes; or glosses. You might easily find a .txt document free online that would be better than this printing.
