A great lower-intermediate level book for my 4th graderBy Eric ROur fourth grade daughter has been playing piano for several years and is pretty good. But she was getting bored playing Bach and Dvorak and all that and we started to see her treating piano practice as a chore. So we made a deal that for the summer months she could drop the old European guys and learn "fun" stuff. We got this book and a Beatles songbook and she is having a great time. The songs in here are right at her level; they are not hard to start with sightreading but they have enough complexity that they keep her hands busy and her concentration. And when they are played hands together they sound full.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. This book does not have "The Life I Lead" nor ...By Esther LopukhinThis book does not have "The Life I Lead" nor the overture; and "Feed the Birds" starts off from the chorus. "Lets Go Fly a Kite" is also shortened. Just because Im a beginner player doesnt mean I dont want to learn how to play the whole song.
