The author--Luigi Cozzi--has provided a plethora of information about the important directors who have distinquished themselves in the genre. First time horror movie fans will particularly enjoy it. People who know there way around Italian horror cinema should find it interesting; too. Since I have seen at least half of the movies mentioned; I feel like I know the genre even better now. The insights into the decline of horror movies in Italy is really good; and the story about Klaus Kinski and his terrible antics on the set of "Nosferatu in Venice" is fun. The drawback is the translation that leaves something to be desired; but the bulk of material that constitutes the book compensates for this shortcoming. I will definitely look at Cozzis movies in a different light. If you love Italian cinema; this book is a treasure trove of information.
