3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A mind blowing read; a visual treat.By Gregory A. HuneryagerAs I despair about the current affair of mainstream super-hero comics something incredible like this appears that shows that its not comics itself thats dead. The script is engaging and has a little bit of everything -- steampunk; Dickens; Lovecraft; and even hopping vampires. Now; if that sounds too much let me say that these elements are used judiciously. Still; as much as I like the story I love art. Its black and white but is a casebook of how imaginative one can be with computer created art with tons of layers of greys; black and white and both interesting abstractions and cartooning. Of course with the prices listed I would go for the used copy but even if you get a slightly dinged one you will cherish this book if you like great art and fantastic adventure fiction.
