I felt the strength and the courage she had and still have and to stand up for yourself;trust your instincts. Having experienced abuse from my parents ;I use to feel alone(its a very lonely world) going to boarding school also ;after reading this book in less than 3hrs; I now have the strength to stay strong and also to Speak my mind even if people do not want to hear it. I admire her courageous spirit to always go forward and learn by her mistakes. It takes a woman with guts to pour her heart out;Tamara you deserve all the happiness life have to offer. You are truly a survivor and an amazing mom. A must read ;I love the business side of the book;the details that she went into;its a crazy world out there;thats ready to eat you up with jealousy;bitterness;greed and resentment. Through it all that she made it:)thank you for writing such an inspirational book.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Very inspiring!By nvdjazzyI really loved this book! I thought it was very candidly and sharply written. You can see how hard it is to succeed in business as a woman; and having the mother she had made it even more difficult to stand up for herself. I think it is ridiculous that some critics state that she cant complain because she had a wealthy upbringing! So rich children dont have a right to be happy and loved? The point of this book is that even if she had a difficult family situation; she made a life for herself by working hard and working on herself! Good for her! And very inspiring to others!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. What a journeyBy GretchenThis is a true story of sacrifice and hard work. For years; the brand Jimmy Choo used high quality materials to turn out a beautiful mix of sexy and stylish. The brand hasnt been the same since Tamara Mellon left.
