The animals vary from house pets to woodland type creature and others. Many different dogs and cats. They have pages with multiple dogs drawn and what their breed is. The same with cats. I feel that this book is great for the older range of kids; maybe 10+ but if you have a dedicated young artist; this is a fun way to try something new and work on your skills. The book is in color and the examples are perfect. We were both disappointed with it; I guess we expected it to have more drawing examples like how to draw a pig or a cow or any animals other than the few shown on the front cover.If you want to vaguely learn to draw those animals on the cover than this is the book for you. If you want more keep looking because I havent found a book like that yet either.
