The 12 string acoustic guitar intro tab to Hotel California is much more accurate than many of the other books that I have and I believe it to be spot on to the original. Most books tab the E9 chord incorrectly compared to the way Don Felder actually fretted it; but this book shows it exactly as I have seen Don Felder fret it on an instructional video that he has posted on the internet. Another improvement is the tab of the D chord (G chord shape; because of capo position) Most of the other books in my collection show to play this arpeggio pattern using upstrokes; which is not accurate. This books transcription matches the way Andy Aledort transcribed it many years ago for a Guitar World special pull out mini magazine titled "How To Play the Eagles Hotel California". Anyway; enough about that; but as you can tell I am very happy with the Hotel California transcription. Witchy Woman also receives a very accurate guitar transcription in this book and is much easier to follow than the version of it in "The Very Best of the Eagles Guitar Tab book"; which transcribes it for several guitars and was difficult to follow while practicing the main lead guitar riffs. The slow downer software is also a wonderful bonus to slow the tracks down up to 50 percent; so you can practice riffs over and over until you can nail them at full speed! I think this book is well worth the money if you enjoy playing the lead guitar parts to some of the Eagles most famous tunes!!!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Boo on Hal Leonard!By Mr T.Okay heres the deal. Would be 5 stars but; I hate the new improved (Online Access Crap!) Yep I bought one of those too! NOTE: however I bought this I think 2 yrs. ago with CD am just now getting around to a review. Im reading reviews now that they are selling this with the online play along crap. If that is the case please look at my review is a 1 star!I emailed talking with a company representative; he was saying were going to this because that is what most people prefer. Thats BS. Now they charge more give less.I agree with another reviewer "Times are a changing !" "wheres the CD? "Boo on Hal Leonard for going cheap. This is a real deterrent for me buying any more of your book. Ive purchased 13 others from them with CD. Times are a changing.I wanted one volume with the O.A. really bad and ended up purchasing it after giving it the 1 star rating. Only myself to blame. What you need to know about their new improved online access (No CD with books anymore) IF YOU WANT TO USE THE SLOW DOWN TEMPO OR PITCH FEATURE you are forced to do your practice online. I always got kicked off if I needed a extra long break. Having to log back in re-enter my code # re-choose the song I had just been working on. Re-set up all tempo or pitch changes. All because as their representative had told me people prefer the new and improved online access. Also the tempo feature only offers 4 choice increments unlike the old which offered limitless options. True as the sales rep suggested you can down load the songs to your computer then copy them to CD or iPhone. But; unless you have a program that slows it down on your iPhone. Or with a program to copy it to your PC at a favorite slowed down speed; only 1 choice. Or of course own the full Tempo/ Pitch version (are you seeing where this is going?) Always less for more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$I am hoping all buyers of the new improved online access BS. will speak out to this company. They took a good thing then took it away! I gave it a one star because I ordered a music book with cd and got a music book with a wed address and code to get the play along music; not as advertised and is a big deal to me.
