La prima metagrave; dellrsquo;Ottocento rappresentograve; lrsquo;ultima stagione felice dellrsquo;editoria padovana. Nel panorama cittadino; alla Tipografia del Seminario; che nel secolo precedente era stata una delle piugrave; attive tra le aziende dello Stato Veneto; si aggiunse nel 1808 la stamperia aperta da Nicolograve; Bettoni. Nel giro di pochi anni; lrsquo;editore e tipografo originario di Portogruaro fu autore di un alto numero di pubblicazioni; tutte di ottimo livello tipografico; nonostante il difficile momento storico segnato dalle guerre napoleoniche che impoverirono la cittagrave; e il territorio. Nel 1819 Bettoni si spostograve; a Milano e quella che era stata la sua ditta assunse il nome della ldquo;Minervardquo;. Sotto la guida di Fortunato Federici e poi di Angelo Sicca e di Luigi Carrer; divenne un importante punto di riferimento per la pubblicazione di classici della letteratura italiana e col tempo sviluppograve; anche il settore del commercio librario. Specializzato in questrsquo;ultimo fu Antonio Carrari Zambeccari; che avviograve; una ben strutturata rete di relazioni con i piugrave; importanti librai ed editori italiani ed europei. Pur non potendo rivaleggiare con i maggiori centri nazionali dellrsquo;editoria nei decenni prima della parentesi del 1848-1849; Padova riuscigrave; a ritagliarsi uno spazio significativo nel mercato del libro dellrsquo;epoca con poche ma attive aziende; le cui dinamiche gestionali sono esaminate nellrsquo;ambito della presente monografia.

This wonderful book explores couchsurfing through intriguing and often amusing portraits and brief stories of hosts around the world. Revealing the diversity of both the homes and the people who inhabit them; these pictures take us on a fascinating journey. Each accompanying biography tell us a little about the work and lifestyles; hopes and dreams of couchsurfing hosts; young and old. I was so interested in exploring this community about which I previously knew very little; I may be moved to become a host and/or guest myself.
