Many of the poses I have selected as my baseline images - laying the groundwork for future model shoots - at least for the foreseeable future. I like his unique style and dont want to do any more cliche shots than necessary.Among them Figure 2.10 (sell stance - with a purse) and Figure 3.15 (gal in pink on a short stool). The books poses work because they show very close attention to even the most minute details and most are uncommon ones I have never seen anywhere.The only difficulty is the authors use of proper but seldom used terms. Words such as "clavicle" threw me off and I had to stop reading and go to the online dictionary to know what he was talking about. The authors could have either simply said "shoulder bone" or should include a time saving list of definitions in the back of the book that are generally used mainly by only chiropractors or general physicians. This seemed to be a problem only in the earlier chapters of the book.That having been said - I suggest to anyone out there who wishes to be a real model photographer and expects to be successful that they purchase this book. A Must HaveBy Lucy HuffstetterWith so many books about posing; the Dynamic Posing Guide by Craig Stidham got it to the point by simplifying the technique steps that made it easy to understand and apply. Examples are clear both on what to do and what not to do; followed by reasons why these are good or bad poses.
