Excellent photo illustrations which help to provide context for a variety of applications. The pacing of the book provides knowledge on any particular topic in short chapters; breaking up the information to make each segment digestible in a 20 minute reading by students. I would recommend this book as an intermediate level textbook for lighting design courses; whether for an interior design program or lighting design curriculum.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great introduction to the topicBy D. SteelAn excellent book on lighting design. I am outsider to the field; so I cant really address the accuracy of everything that is said. But in terms of scope it covers all the bases. I found that I tended to "dip" into sections that discussed things I didnt know much about; and skip others. This book is just as useful ether way. Lighting design is both a science and an art; and I would have appreciated reading more about the intuitive aspects of lighting that arise out of years of experience. I would also have likes to see more case studies. But maybe that is content for others to write about. As a starting foundational core of the topic; this book is excellent.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great guide lighting maintenance workers.By B. HerronI do electrical maintenance which includes a lot of working with lighting circuits. This book has been a huge help on understanding the fundamentals of lighting; types of fixures and bulbs; and an overall view of the industry. Granted; its not going to tell you absolutely everything...it does do the job for the size of the book.
