Looking at the fun cartoon like farm pictures on the front of the book I assumed this book was for very young children and toddlers. this book was not what it seems from the picture on the front. I started reading this to my 2 and 4 your old who were devastated that the book talked about alligator farms and killing alligators and people eating guinea pigs. this book explains the differences between factory farming and other farms and even included the part about farmers giving there animals antibiotics. This book uses words like slaughtered; this is not a small child book; this is more like an older child informational type book. This book would be more for a 10 or 12 year old; if they lost the childish cover. The inside of the book actually has real pictures of farms; which you wouldnt be able to tell from the outside of the book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
