(Applause Books). Stella Adler was one of the 20th Centurys greatest figures. She is arguably the most important teacher of acting in American history. Over her long career; both in New York and Hollywood; she offered her vast acting knowledge to generations of actors; including Marlon Brando; Warren Beatty; and Robert De Niro. The great voice finally ended in the early Nineties; but her decades of experience and teaching have been brilliantly caught and encapsulated by Howard Kissel in the twenty-two lessons in this book.

I dont want to play them all in C but they can be easily transposed. Lead and melody lines are great and the chords are easy to play. You can embellish chords if you want or simply play them as they are. I am an intermediate player but these are great for beginners and just challenging enough to make you stretch your musical muscles. I wanted a book I could use in my small group and on camp outs with my Trail Life USA troop and this is it!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I love this bookBy ConnieI love this book! Ive only been playing piano a short time so its perfect for me. (But why is it called "Fake"??? Its basic; but you have to be able to read music and chords to play the songs.) Lots of good songs from which to choose. I will purchase others; but still dont like the name :)0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great for teaching how to play with chords!By ADKerGreat for teaching kids how to play using chords. These are relatively easy -- all in the key of C -- so I use this with my students. Ordering another copy for another student now!
