A few mistakes in transposition; but otherwise pretty goodBy Jonathan BirgeHL fake books are usually great; but Ive found too many errors in this one to give it a perfect review. I usually dont get the "easy" versions where everything is transposed into C; but I got this at the request of my kids; who wanted to learn the melody lines. Unfortunately; it appears that when transposing the arrangements from their mainline fake books; they messed up in a few places; and didnt actually do the transposition correctly. Look at "Lucy" and youll see what I mean. Given all the modulations the Beatles do in their songs; I can see why transposition could be confusing; but they shouldve done a better job.Get the real fake book.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. The seemingly complex made simple...By Bonnie A. BarnesThis book is exactly what it says it is (now isnt that a relief). It never ceases to amaze me how something as complex as these songs are; recorded; they can be broken down into simple little songs you can play on your acoustic guitar (or ukulele). When Im Sixty Four translates endearingly well; and it will make a great sing-a-long for you and your nostalgia-smitten friends. Well yeah; we were well...partying...4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. A very good book.By Tom TIf you play chord-type piano; this is a great book of Beatles songs. The quality of printing is very good and heavy paper is used; so the unit will last a long time. If you check the song list; youll see that there are actually a lot of songs in this book. Many of these lead-sheet books have only a few songs and still cost almost the same. This book is a bargain on a cost-per-song basis.
