I like it although it has some issues.By Radha K.The camera is just enough for my needs as a first year digital photography student; so I like it for the purpose I bought it. It feels solid and the controls are reasonably accessible whilst shooting. Most usual university exercises can be performed as requested. The moveable live view window is very helpful.On the down side: 1. The camera is a little heavy if you have small hands; which I do.2. There is no wireless remote options.3. When using the remote usb port with a usb and lead; requires leaving the flap open. This is clumsy and risks damage to the flap.4. The most frustrating aspect is that is not possible to take shots with an open aperture past F5 when a high speed shutter is needed.I bought mine second hand; yet fairly new; so the cost represented about what I expected for the cameras performance. If I had paid full price these issues would have bothered me greatly. If you are thinking of professional photography equipment; I suggest upgrading from this camera. SpiroWhy now is a good question. The Sony A350 is a perfect example of what happens when you put a subpar lens on a very good camera. Those who dont know any better get subpar results and a bad taste for cameras Sony. The A350 worked out for those who had bought into the Minolta system and have many fine lens at hand. With a good lens you get a better then average camera. It is on the slow frame rate side and tends to get noisy at high Asa ratings. This book is a well written guide book. One you can put in your glove box and use when out shooting. Why now comes back as the A700 with the 2.8/16-50 lens rocks. Sony put all the pieces together finally in one bundle. The added bonus is putting this lens on the A350. You have a really fantastic backup camera now and this book becomes more helpful because the images wont disappoint. A350s can still be had cheap.
