He saw his picture in the book and his name appeared in the book too. What a great life this ship has had and is still having. We saw a UTube video of all the life that is now attached to it and around it. My oldest daughter called the Texas Parks and they gave her a free CD of the video which she sent to her Grandfather. We are grateful to Dr. Curley for the effort he put forth in making the history of this ship live.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. My Fathers ShipBy William J. BrozWe grew up hearing stories about the USS Queens as my father served aboard her during World War II as part of the Beach Battalion. He thought she had been scrapped after the war. We were surprised to find out that she still existed. He was contacted by the author and interviewed for the book. We were very pleased to see the book written and added to our family history.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great BookBy Arthur J. PalazzoThank you Dr. Curley for providing the reader with a fascinating story of a ship that served so many people; including myself. The book contains many interesting photos and arrangement drawings; all of which are helping me build a scale model of her. This book is highly recommended to anyone interested in the story of a great ship. A.J. Palazzo 82.
