My mother confirms with the glowing reviews on that this an exceptional book for developing the core skills of ApertureBy ZapNZsI dont know much about Aperture but I got this book for my mother after reading all of the positive reviews. My mother is not a big computer person; but a huge photographer needing a photo solution that Aperture can provide. In her own words; this book makes larger concepts and tasks into easier ones; and can serve as a step-by-step guide; as well as a quick-reference. It is well-organized; in a sensible order; easy to find individual portions you need for a single step; and has helped make what would otherwise be an intimidating program into a really enjoyable learning experience.She also feels the keyboard covers with the Aperture quick-commands compliments this book nicely in maximizing ones understanding and speed with working the program. Does exactly what it says it will doBy pm444Although Ive been using Aperture for about a year; I needed to develop a better workflow and wanted to learn more about its features. This books goal is to guide the user; step-by-step; from uploading photos; organizing them; editing them; and sharing them. It includes many photos; illustrations; and notes about how to accomplish each step.It is simple enough that a beginner can understand it and actually work through most of the material fairly quickly. While I appreciated that simplicity; I do wish that the author had included information on some of Apertures more advanced editing features.However; a comprehensive presentation of all of Apertures features really wasnt the goal of the book. It did achieve its purpose; because I now have a much better understanding of Aperture and the way that its organized; and my workflow is smoother and more consistent.
