StephensWhen I first got this book I was kind of hoping for a bible thick definitive work on vintage Les Pauls; well it wasnt that; but it is a great book and fills in where some other books have missing spots. The printing and the graphics; layout and photography are first rate. I find myself going back to it and finding things I didnt notice in it before. Hunters books are all well written; well researched; and Hunter is not a guy writing about things he hasnt personally experienced; he is a guitar player and a good one; he builds amps; he does his research. Cool history on the great Les Paul guitarBy MojoI enjoyed reading about the many varied Les Paul incantations and Gibson in general. Finally know a hell of lot more why the 59 is the one. Great short profiles on players whove used Les Pauls to create some of the soundtrack to my life. Pretty easy read and cool way to spend a few hours if youre into guitars and love blues/rock music.
