Jahrhundert; 8 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis; Sprache: Deutsch; Abstract: In dieser vorliegenden Hausarbeit beschauml;ftige ich mich mit der kunsthistorischen Thematik des Goldgrundes in der niederlauml;ndischen Tafelmalerei. Beginnen werde ich im zweiten Kapitel mit der Entwicklungsgeschichte der technischen Anwendung und Symbolhaftigkeit des Goldgrundes; von den ersten antiken und byzantinischen Anfauml;ngen; bis zu der Kulminationsphase in der Fruuml;h- bzw. Hochrenaissance. Dabei verfolge ich die These; dass der Goldgrund die wichtigste Voraussetzung fuuml;r die gemalte Lichterscheinung war; die diesen wauml;hrend der Renaissance verdrauml;ngte.Weiterhin werde ich die kunsthistorische Entwicklung der Handhabung des Goldgrundes explizit anhand von mehreren zeitlich verschieden entstandenen Werken aus der Tafelmalerei erouml;rtern. Dabei stelle ich ab dem dritten Kapitel im Kontext des Goldgrundes Simone Martinis Verkuuml;ndigung (1333) und Ambrigio Lorenzettis Verkuuml;ndigung (1344) Jan van Eycks Deesis aus dem Genter Altar gegenuuml;ber; als Vor- van Eycksche Werke und zudem unterziehe ich Rogier van der Weydens Kreuzabnahme als Nach-van Eyksches Werk einem Vergleich.Im letzten Kapitel; dem Resuuml;mee stelle ich die hier aufgegriffenen Werke zur Diskussion. Im Anhang folgt das Literaturverzeichnis fuuml;r Monographien; Internetadressen und ein Bilderverzeichnis; zudem folgen die Abbildungen der in dieser Hausarbeit thematisierten Werke.

9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Good Book!By Doug RichardThis 1979 edition (11 7/8" X 15 1/4" X 2") is a larger book than the 2013 edition and 455 pages vs. 400 pages. It is the cover art from the 332 Post covers; not the Post covers themselves; i.e. no Post banner; no words across the art saying what was inside that particular magazine; and so on; that actually ruined the artwork. These are full-size; color paintings; one to a very large page; with commentary on an earlier page; with a small version and the page on which the large painting appears; which proceed from top down; instead of left to right (maybe because it was printed in Japan?) In addition; there is cover art (11 full size pages) from some other magazines on which Norman Rockwell art appeared. The cover art is from 1916-1963. Since very few of the early covers have been reproduced in calendars or books on Rockwell; which tend to repeat the same images; this is a chance to see much more of his artwork; which covers the period of both World Wars; Korea; and some of Vietnam. Even with the age of the edition; my copy at least was still in very good shape; with the pages not yellowed or faded; as far as I could tell.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. The large size of the book is perfect; and the high quality of the pages highlights the awesome artistry of Mr Rockwell.The last 53 pages describe additional detail behind selected covers shown elsewhere (in full-size) in the book. Quite a delightful read overall.
