Raumplanung; Note: 1; Universitauml;t Wien (Geographie und Regionalforschung); Veranstaltung: Auslandsexkursion USA; Sprache: Deutsch; Abstract: Detroit ist die grouml;szlig;te Stadt im US-Bundesstaat Michigan und liegt zwischen den Lake St. Clair und dem Eriesee. Die Stadt Detroit wird auch die bdquo;Motor Cityldquo; genannt; was auf ihre fruuml;here Automobilindustrie zuruuml;ckzufuuml;hren ist. Denn im 20. Jahrhundert war Detroit das Zentrum der amerikanischenAutomobilproduktion. Unter anderem wegen des vorteilhaften Standortes zwischen den beiden Seen siedelten sich die bdquo;Big Threeldquo; Autobauer an: Ford; Chrysler und General Motors. Diese verhalfen Detroit zu einem schnellen wirtschaftlichen Aufstieg und die Stadt boomte.In den 1920er entstand ein Hochhaus nach dem anderenund durch das immense Wirtschaftswachstum und das groszlig;eAngebot an Arbeitsplauml;tzen stieg die Einwohnerzahl von285.700 (1900) auf 1;85 Millionen (1950) Menschen rasant an.(laut http://www.shrinkingcities.com/) Durch die Automobilindustrie begann der schnelle Aufstieg Detroits; doch gerade diese Monostruktur fuuml;hrte zum anschlieszlig;enden Abstieg von Detroit. Nicht nur die Autoindustrie wanderte nach 1950 ins Stadtumland oder in Billiglohnlauml;nder ab; sondern auch die Bevouml;lkerung; besonders die Weiszlig;en; wanderten in die Suburbs.Da Aufgrund des Arbeitsplatzangebotes zur Bluuml;tezeit Detroits viele Schwarze in die Stadt kamen; kam es zu Rassenkonflikten. So flohen die Weiszlig;en ins Stadtumland. So waren die Menschen in den Vororten hauptsauml;chlich Weiszlig; und die Bewohner in der Innenstadt hauptsauml;chlich Afro-Amerikaner. Diese Stadt-Rand-Wanderung; welche einerseits auf dieMonostruktur des Automobilismus; andererseits auf die Rassenkonflikte zuruuml;ckzufuuml;hren ist; hatte immense Folgen fuuml;r die Stadt Detroit: hohe Kriminalitauml;tsraten in der Innenstadt; Bevouml;lkerungsschwund; 1/3 der Hauml;user in Detroit stehen leer und 33 % der Einwohner leben unter der Armutsgrenze. Im Jahre 1990 lebten sogar nur noch 26 % der Bewohner des Groszlig;raums Detroit in der Innenstadt. In Let It Go for instance; there are 35 different chords! This lends to some of the chords being pretty obscure ones; certainly not any that a beginner will know. Admittedly; they do show the chords at the beginning of the song but just way too much for a beginner. Definitely overwhelming.The tab is ok - you can follow along with the melody fairly easily even if you cant do all the filler music but there is some notes that are held over; etc. that a beginning guitarist might not know what to do with (I didnt).Also; a couple songs state that a capo is optional to make the music sound like the recording. For Let It Go; it recommends placing the capo on the 8th fret. This definitely changes the position of your fingers relative to each other and may be harder for a beginner. Granted; you can play them without the capo; they will just be lower.Overall; kind of disappointing if you are expecting a true beginners book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good fun; accurate; but not exactly easy.By The SpokesmanThis is a very creative reduction of the movie score down to one guitar. Its a lot of fun and much better than trying to download tabs online (which are almost always a disaster). My family recognize all the main tunes; when I play them from this book. Seven are great. In order of difficulty they are - Reindeer are better than people; Love is an open door; Do you want to build a snowman; First time in forever; First time in forever - Reprise; Let it go; Fixer Upper. The other tunes are fillers. I think it works best if you use the tab as a guide and make up your own chord fingerings. Use a capo. Let it go works well if you drop the bottom E string down to D. None of it is easy guitar though; so one star off for a misleading title.
